Carlo Dekkers
Golden Glory trainer Carlo Dekkers was born on March 9, 1973 in Breda, The Netherlands. He is the brother of the all time great Ramon "the Diamond" Dekkers and son of Cor Hemmers, the head coach and trainer of team Golden Glory.
Carlo started his martial arts career at the age of ten, training under the tutelage of Cor Hemmers. In 1987, at the age of fourteen, Carlo became Dutch champion in boxing. This was the start of a very promising and successful fighting career. His good hands and powerful kicks has lead to a very quick development in his kickboxing career and at one point he was ranked third in Europe on the A-list fighters.
Carlo is an assistant trainer/coach of the the Golden Glory professional fight team for five years now, teaching in Breda (the netherlands) and in Pattaya (Thailand). Besides training and coaching professional fighters, Carlo has dedicated himself to working with troubled youngsters in the age of eight to eighteen. Re-socialization and education is the main goal of this activity. Because of this work, Carlo has developed superior didactic and pedagogic capabilities that can be seen and experienced daily.
